Armstrong Tyres traces its roots back to 1912, when George F. Armstrong founded the company in New Jersey, USA. Over the following decades, Armstrong grew into one of the most recognised tyre brands in the world, becoming the 5th largest tyre manufacturer globally by the early 1960s.

In the late 1980s, the brand was acquired by Pirelli, and by 2012 Armstrong was close to disappearing from the global tyre market.

Recognizing the strength of the Armstrong legacy, ZAFCO acquired the brand with a vision to revive and modernize it for today's global markets.
